Guests at the Shake It Up Australia Foundation Diageo event take in the amazing views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge
Shake it Up Australia Foundation would like to thank our corporate partners and supporters for their incredible help and support in raising over $32,000 on Thursday 21st June in our first fundraising event held in Sydney.
Friend of the Foundation and good mate of the Campbell Family, Steve Walshe from Diageo approached the Campbell’s’ some time ago with the offer of his support and help in hosting a Johnny Walker Premium Immersion Session at the Diageo Head Office in Milsons Point.
The incredible “HarBar” on the top floor of the well situated offices provided the backdrop for the evening, overlooking the stunning Sydney Harbour nightlights.
The evening started with an educational tasting session of the premium Johnny Walker products, followed with a Q&A with our special guests Scott Higginbotham and Bernard Foley of the QANTAS Wallabies who were provided by supporters Jim Manczak and Mark Bringans from Super Rugby naming partner FX Pro. A very big thank you to the ARU and FX Pro for their very generous support with our guests, as well as some incredible auction items including corporate and gold tickets to both the Wallabies v Wales match in Sydney, and the upcoming Bledisloe Cup to be held at ANZ Stadium in August.
James Hayashi from Cooley Auctions pushed and probed our guests and manage to increase the donations and support to a spectacular $32,950 – prizes ranged from Wallabies packages from FX pro, an exclusive “Roar & Snore” Package from Paul Maguire from Taronga Zoo, a “Money Can’t Buy Match Day Experience” with the HSBC Waratahs, a stunning “Fragrance Package” donated by Matthew McQuade of Coty Australia, a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue label signed by Steve Waugh given by our friends at Diageo, and a ‘Carrie Underwood” ticket package from MCM Media.
Special thanks also to the Jephcott Family and “Floriade Mosman” for providing the beautiful floral arrangements displayed in the room, and to Andrea Mumm of Sydney Corporate Catering for feeding the throngs with tasty dishes.
Shake It Up Australia is proud and grateful for the support from our guests, and is pleased to confirm 100 per cent of all funds raised will be invested into research here in Australia.
